Everything You Need to Know to Get Started

Absolutely no prior experience is needed! Our beginner knitting and cross-stitch classes are designed for complete novices. We'll start with the very basics, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and confident from the first stitch. All you need is enthusiasm to learn!

For most beginner classes, a basic starter kit including appropriate yarn or fabric, needles/hoops, and essential tools is provided. For advanced workshops, a list of required materials will be sent in advance. We also have a curated selection of quality yarns and notions available for purchase at our studio.

Both are wonderful fiber arts! Knitting often involves creating fabric with yarn and needles, great for garments and accessories. Cross-stitch uses a needle and thread to create patterns on fabric, ideal for decorative pieces. Consider which type of finished project appeals to you most, or try our 'Introduction to Fiber Arts' taster session to experience both!

We believe in personalized attention. Our group classes are limited to a maximum of 10-12 students, ensuring a low student-to-instructor ratio (typically 5:1 or 6:1 depending on complexity). This allows our instructors to provide ample individual support and feedback.

Our regular Community Craft Nights are open to all current and past students, and often to new visitors for a small fee or free promotional events! They are informal, social gatherings where you can work on your projects, get advice, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Check our events calendar for upcoming dates and themes.

We offer ongoing support! Students have access to a dedicated online forum for questions, a project troubleshooting hotline during specific hours, and are always welcome to drop by for quick advice during open studio times. Your success is our priority.
